Value Retail, the manager of Bicester Village and Europe's leading outlet operator, is committed to positive integration with its neighbouring communities. Through a series of partnership projects with local authorities and associations, Value Retail brings sustainable benefits to the towns and regions surrounding its "villages".

At Bicester Village, Value Retail has evolved as a stakeholder and partner in the Town's social, cultural and economic development as well as contributing to initiatives in the wider Oxfordshire region.

Shortly after opening in 1995, Value Retail opened a footpath link to the town centre, followed by a sponsored shuttle bus service from the railway station. Both these and other upgraded transport initiatives now form an essential part of the town's burgeoning infrastructure.

Culturally, Value Retail has a promotional role in the majority of the town's activities whilst creating popular new events such as an Annual Jazz Festival and regular art exhibitions, which provide a platform for local artists and craftspeople.

Local business partners, schools and colleges also benefit from Value Retail's support. Through active membership of the Bicester Chamber of Commerce and as sponsor governor of the local community college, Value Retail has been able to offer support and participate in a range of initiatives focused on educational, transport and leisure initiatives.

More recently, youth and social initiatives have been a major focus. Value Retail will continue to work within the strong commercial network of which it is now a part to identify and promote initiatives that will enhance and develop the local environment.

The award winning Tourist Information Centre, a feature of all Value Retail Villages, is operated in partnership with the District Council and the Southern Tourist Board. Under the newly named Visitor Centre, the existing TIC will be expanded to offer an enhanced range of services and products that will serve local residents as well as the increasing number of domestic and international tourists.
